in the Movistar Madrid Half Marathon there will be starting boxes. To be able to access these boxes it is necessary to communicate to the Organisation, at the time of registration, the credited personal mark, which must be equal or less than the time of the box to which you would like to take part. To confirm the mark, only the time made in the last two years and in approved Half Marathon races will be accepted. Élite – Sub 1h 14’, 1h 15’ – 1h 22’, 1h 23’ – 1h 30’, 1h 31’ – 1h 40’, 1h 41’ – 1h 45’, 1h 46 – 1h 50’, 1h 51’ – 1h 55’, 1h 56’ – 2h and more than 2h.
Remember that access to the corrals is open from 07.45 h, so we recommend that you arrive at your assigned box before 08.30 h. There will be 15,000 participants in the Movistar Madrid Half Marathon and waiting until the last minute to access to the corrals may result in mobility problems. Anticipate yourself and do not encounter last minute problems to access your corral!
Attempting to access an unassigned corral will only slow the race start. If you want to run with a friend, you CAN access a slower pace corral than yours, never the other way around. Once in the assigned corral, seek to place yourself according to the target time (forward or backward inside the corral itself).
The starting line will be located at Paseo de la Castellana, 23 (hotel Villa Magna). There you will find the cloakroom/ bag-gage store, portable toilets and the help desk. In the map you will see the exact location of each of these points. The finishing line will be located at Paseo de Recoletos, (number 12). Although runners’ arrivals will be very spread out, never wait for friends close to the finishing line; first collect your drink and food. In the area beyond the finishing line, you will also find the medical services and an area where physiotherapists and podiatrists will treat any injury that such a prolonged effort may have caused you.
Although we’re sure you won’t need it, we know that an unforeseen problem may arise on Half-Marathon day. We have the-refore set up a HELP DESK close to the CLOAKROOM / BAGGAGE STORE.
It will be located close to the starting line, in Plaza de Colón. It will be open from 7.30 am
There will be available portable toilets. They will be located in the starting and finishing line areas.
There will be energy stations with water at the following points on the course:
