Pre-race tips from the from the Madrid School of Chiromassage EQM
EQM, the 1st School of Chiromassage in Madrid, are once again collaborators of the Movistar Madrid Medio Marathon 2024, and they have been providing their knowledge and help to the runners for over 20 years, together with the Agrupación Deportiva Marathon ADM in the post finish area. In this edition you will also be able to find their team of therapists ready to take care of your legs.
In the days and weeks leading up to the race, they wanted to share several important tips with all the participants so that they get ready properly and without overloads on race day:
- It is important the week before not to load your legs too much by doing intense training, it should be a week of reducing kilometres and recovery, you should fill your carbohydrate, protein and mineral deposits for the race during the previous days, do not binge the night before and above all sleep well??.
- On the race day, in terms of pre-race preparation, warm up for about 10 minutes at low intensity, to prepare the muscles involved in the action. Do gentle stretches to stretch the tissues and... Go for a run!
- After the race we will be in the EQM tent waiting for you to give you post-race treatment to improve your recovery from the effort and provide nutrients for the best assimilation of the race.
