Today have been officialy presented the Joma technical T-Shirts that will be delivered to the participants of the Movistar Half Marathon of Madrid 2020 and the ProFuturo Race held on March 29th.

In total there will be about 20.000 runners who will wear these special shirts, made specially for running, which they will pick up at the Runner's Expo which will take place at IFEMA on March 27th and 28th. T-Shirts have been presented by Óscar Jiménez, representative of Joma, and Juan Manuel Agejas, manager of A. D. Marathon, at RafaelHotels Atocha.

In addition to celebrating its 20th edition, the Movistar Half Marathon of Madrid will premiere the "Silver Label" awarded by World Athletics in 2020, improving its previous bronze cataloging. This distinction increases the international positioning of the traditional Madrid half marathon and recognizes it as one of the best road races in the world.

Parallel to the 21,097 meter race, the ProFuturo solidarity race will take place over 5km, an ideal distance to start running or to be tested at a more affordable distance than the half marathon. This event aims to give visibility and raise funds for the project with the same name. ProFuturo is an initiative promoted by Fundación Telefónica and “la Caixa” whose mission is to reduce the educational gap in the world by providing quality digital education to children in vulnerable environments in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia. Since 2016, it has already benefited more than 10 million children.

THESE ARE THE T-SHIRTS

The sports brand Joma Sport, technical sponsor of the event, offers the runners of Madrid the official 21K shirt and the ProFuturo race.

Thanks to the elasticity of the garment, it allows the athlete to run with total freedom, due to the elastic knitted fabric with which it is made.

The shirt is designed to be as comfortable as possible for the runner , for this reason, details such as Flatlock flat seams, finished inside have been taken care of to avoid chafing.

ABOUT MOVISTAR HALF MARATHON OF MADRID

Both initially the 20 kilometers and later the Half Marathon have been organized in all its editions by Agrupación Deportiva Marathon, a non-profit organization with more than 50 years of history, 600 athletes with federative license and that dedicates all its benefits to the promotion and practice of Athletics.

Between 1989 and 2000 the race was known as the 20 km Villa de Madrid, and since 2001 it's already held in the distance of Half Marathon. The record of participants in the race was more than 20,000 runners in the 2015 edition. The current records of the race are Cynthia Jerotich in women's category, with 1h09'40 '', and Kipkemoi Kiprono in men's category, achieved in the past edition with 1h01'47 ''.
