The Movistar Madrid Half Marathon has unveiled the official finishers medal that all runners who complete the course and cross the spectacular finish line located on Paseo de Recoletos will receive. The finishers of the race will be able to hang the spectacular medal with the skyline of the capital of Spain around their necks on March 26th.

The authentic Madrid half marathon has a fast an improved course, but it is also especially attractive and of tourist interest to runners: Paseo de La Castellana, the Bernabéu Stadium, Plaza de Castilla, Calle Serrano, Puerta de Alcalá, Atocha, Paseo del Prado (declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco), Neptuno, Cibeles or Colón.

In addition to other novelties, the Expo moves in this edition to the Casa de Campo Convention Pavilion, to facilitate and improve the experience of the almost 13,000 registered athletes for the Movistar Madrid Half Marathon. This number of runners, more than a month and a half away from its celebration, will increase in the coming weeks and will possibly be one of the largest participations in recent years. In addition, in parallel, the 5.8 km ProFuturo charity race will also be held that Sunday, March 26, a more affordable distance and also open to a greater number of participants. Some parallel activities will take place at the expo, and the runners will collect their official bibs and shirts, also being a meeting point with companies and brands related to the world of sport.

The impact that the test will have on the city is very high in economic terms, since in addition to the 16% of registered foreigners, of more than 80 different nationalities, almost 30% of the total come that weekend from outside the Community of Madrid.

Likewise, in the absence of final figures when registrations close, the provisional female percentage has improved remarkably, rising to 23% of the total.
