The Movistar Madrid Half Marathon and the ProFuturo Race unveil their official Joma-designed shirts
After announcing this Tuesday that race bibs have sold out and setting a new participation record, the Madrid event today presented the official shirts for its two distances: the Movistar Madrid Half Marathon (21.097 kilometers on a course officially certified by the RFEA) and the ProFuturo Race (5 kilometers), for which registration remains open.
Both garments have been designed by Joma, the event’s technical sponsor.
The presentation ceremony, held in the heart of Puerta del Sol (one of the race’s key landmarks), was attended by Rocío Rey, Sponsorship Manager at Telefónica SA; Concepción Gallego (ProFuturo Foundation); Carla Fernández, Joma Events Manager; and Eduardo Ajuria, President of Agrupación Deportiva Marathon, the event’s organizing body.
All runners will receive an exclusive Toledo-brand shirt in their race pack. The garment features optimized ergonomics for total freedom of movement without restricting arm swing, Micro-Mesh System breathable technology to prevent sweat build-up and improve airflow, and heat-sealed seams to eliminate common friction areas and prevent chafing. A combination of essential features designed to help athletes reach the finish line on March 22.
In addition to incorporating Joma’s most advanced technologies, the shirt symbolizes the spirit of the city of Madrid and the race itself, showcasing on the front a print highlighting some of the capital’s most emblematic landmarks and key points along the course. The design is modern, attractive, and youthful, dominated by shades of blue and white.
The ProFuturo Race will also feature an official Joma shirt with identical technical characteristics. In this case, a more understated design has been chosen, with artwork reflecting the foundation’s ethos alongside the slogan “Committed to Education.” This 5-kilometer race celebrates its tenth edition promoting quality digital education in vulnerable environments and improving academic opportunities for boys and girls.
